- Someone told me I had flawless skin and said I have a great facialist. I’ve never had a facial.
- A guy said I was “so lovely” and asked me out on a date at the grocery store. I pointed to my wedding ring, but still smiled.
- Someone at work said I was a rock star at my job.
- My husband said that my Halloween costume (that I made) was both way cool and oddly fashionable.
- My friend said he found someone who looked like my twin because she was stylish and smart-looking.
Just watched The Road at the Austin Film Festival. It followed the book very closely, and was just as despairing and heartbreaking.
Tonight I’m realizing that so many of the things I’ve wanted for my life I already have.
- A record player.
- A vintage radio.
- Etsy art on the walls.
- A cute, well-equipped kitchen.
- Kitty cats.
- A fun wardrobe.
- A home in a safe neighborhood.
- A gorgeous, caring husband.
- To be involved in my city’s happenings… film festivals, holidays, restaurants.
- A stable job.
- Twinkle lights.
- A handmade quilt.
- Evenings of hot chocolate and reading books.
- Hardwood floors.
- A fabulous library.
- A laptop.
- Storage space under the bed.
- A bathtub.
- A healthy body.
- Friends.
- Family.
- Happy memories.
- A scooter.

Just watched Happy Ending at the Austin Film Festival. Cute little Japanese film with lots of nerdy cinema references. I mostly loved the main character’s cute wardrobe. :)

Just watched Little Fish, Strange Pond at the Austin Film Festival. Strange indeed… I felt like I was missing something through the whole film. Meh.
My new favorite thing: Glee! How have I missed this? I’ve seen them all except the first three episodes. I need to get my hands on those pronto.
Watched Precious at the Austin Film Festival. It was so depressing, so disturbing, so raw. I’m sure it’s going to win lots of Oscars, but it was excruciating to watch.
Just watched John Woo’s Red Cliff at the Austin Film Festival. Now THAT is a movie! Epic and gorgeous and fun.
